For cooking the rice Wash the rice thoroughly and soak in 3 cups of water for 30 minutes and after30 min, drain the water from the rice and keep it aside. Boil a vesselful of water, add 1 tbsp of oil and salt and then add the rice to the boiling water and cook till the rice is cooked and stir once or twice in between. Pour into a colander and let the water drain out from the rice and keep it aside for later use. How to proceed Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add the blended paste and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally. Add the mixed vegetables, green peas, salt and 2 tbsp of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally. Add the cooked rice and deep-fried onions, mix it well and cook on medium flame for 2 minutes and stir occasionally and switch off the flame. Ingredients

  • 1 cupboiled mixed vegetables (french beans, and carrot) cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cupboiled green peas
  • 3 cupscooked rice
  • 2 tbspghee
  • saltto taste
  • 1/2 cupdeep-fried onions( in a deep pan add oil and add the onions and fry till golden brown in color)
